Empowering Innovation: Future Today Edutech Hub Unleashes Social Robots for Real-World Problem Solving
By FishLove_Manager | |
Frontiers seed funding awardee Wasiu Oyedepo, leads Future Today Edutech Hub in a successful pilot of a new Social Robot Curriculum. In collaboration with Professor Cynthia Breazeal from MIT's Media Lab and researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the project engaged underrepresented students aged 11-17 from two rural communities in Lagos State, Nigeria. In this inspiring example of education meeting real-world problem-solving, the students designed and built prototypes of social robots to solve critical local issues such as biodiversity loss, contaminated water, and load-lifting for rural dwellers.
